Knitted Leaf Sachet

Fill this knitted leaf sachet with your favorite fragrance! These would make great gifts!

SIZES: One Size.
Finished Measurements: 31⁄⁄4" wide x 51⁄⁄2" long

MATERIALS:
Sundance by Classic Elite (50% cotton, 50%
microfiber; 50 gram ball = approx 83 yards)
• 1 ball 6220 Celery Sprig
Needles
• One pair size US 5 (3.75 mm) Or size to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers
• 1 yard of ribbon
• Scented dried herbs or potpourri
GAUGE: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch. Take time to save time, check your gauge.

SPECIAL TERMS:
k1-b/r: Slightly twist work on LH needle
towards you so that WS of work is visible.
Insert RH needle from top down into next st
on LH needle 1 row below. Knit this st then
knit st on LH needle (1 st increased).
k2tog: Knit 2 sts together (1 st decreased).
ssk: (slip, slip, knit) Slip 2 sts, 1 at a time, knitwise
to the RH needle; return sts to LH needle
in turned position and knit them together
through the back loops (1 st decreased).
p2tog: Purl 2 sts together (1 st decreased).
sk2p: Slip1 st purlwise, from the LH needle to
the RH needle, k2tog, pass slipped st over
knit st created by k2tog (2 sts decreased).

STITCH PATTERNS:
Stockinette Stitch (St st): Knit on RS, purl on WS.
NOTES:
1. Work inc sts as follows: Work to 1 st before
marker, k1-b/r, slip marker, k1, slip marker ,
k1-b/r, work to end.
2. Work dec sts as follows: K1, ssk, work to last
3 sts, k2tog, k1.

BACK
CO 5 sts. (RS) Begin St st; work even until pc
meas 1" from beg, end WS row. Place markers
(pm) each side of center st. Inc Row: (RS) Inc
2 sts this row (see Note 1), then EOR 6 times,
end RS row —19 sts. (WS) Work 3 rows even in
St st, end WS row. Dec Row: (RS) Dec 2 sts this
row (see Note 2), then EOR 6 times, end RS
row — 5 sts rem. (WS) P2tog, p1, p2tog — 3 sts
rem. (RS) Sk2p. Pull yarn through rem st.

FRONT
Work as for Back.

FINISHING
With WS of Front and Back pieces facing
each other, sew seam around leaf, leaving
small opening to fill with your favorite scent.
Fill, sew opening. Thread ribbon through top
point of leaf.

....Even More Knitted Gifts...Plastic Bag Keeper

Ok, we're knitting potholders; how about a knitted plastic bag keeper to match those fabulous potholders.
(Picture has both versions- crochet & Knitted, pattern below is for knitted version)

SIZE: One Size
Finished circumference: 10 1/2 in. (27cm)
Finished Length: 15 1/2 in. (39.5cm)

MATERIALS
• 760-136 Lion Brand Lion Cotton Yarn: Clove 1 Ball (A)
• 760-159 Lion Brand Lion Cotton Yarn: Mustard 1 Ball (B)
• 760-146 Lion Brand Lion Cotton Yarn: Fuchsia 1 Ball (C)
• Double-Pointed Needles - Size 7
• Stitch Markers
• Large-Eye Blunt Needles

With double pointed needles (dpn) and C, cast on 15 sts. Place marker for beginning of rnd. Join by working the first
st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle, being careful not to twist sts.
Rnd 1: Knit
Rnd 2: Kfb into each st around – 30 sts.
Rnd 3: Knit.
Rnd 4: *K 1, kfb; rep from * around – 45 sts.
Rnd 5: Purl.
Rnd 6-15: Knit.
Change to B and k one rnd.
Change to A and work in St st worked in the rnd (k all rnds) until piece measures about 15 in. (38 cm) from beg.
Bind off 42 sts – 3 sts remain on needles.
Finishing
Attached I-Cord Border and Hanging Loop
Notes:
1.I-cord is attached to Keeper at the same time the cord is knit.
2.Cord is worked on 2 double-pointed needles (dpns).

Hanging Loop
Slip 3 remaining sts onto one double-pointed needle. **Do not turn work. Slide sts to other end of needle and k
across. Rep from * until cord measures about 7 in. (18 cm), then pick up a st along top edge of Keeper to join.

Edging
You will continue to work I-cord, attaching it to the Keeper as you go.
Work attached cord as follows: *insert needle through edge of Keeper, pick up one st and place onto dpn – 4 sts on
needle. Slide sts to other end of needle and k2, k2tog. Rep from * around edge of Keeper.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Draw tail through rem 3 sts, then use tail to sew end of cord to beg of cord.
Weave in ends.
