Cozy You, Cozy Your Coffee!

You've knitted scarves and cowls to keep you nice and cozy, now knit up a cup cozy to keep your coffee nice and hot! This Bernat pattern is quick and fun.



MEASUREMENTS
Approx 3½” [9 cm] long and 5”  [12.5 cm] diameter.








Materials
Bernat® Denimstyle (3.5 oz/100 g; 196 yds/179 m)
VERSION I
contrast A (03044 Sweatshirt) 1 ball
contrast B (03006 Canvas) 1 ball
contrast c (03436 Lava Wash) 1 ball

VERSION II
contrast A (03233 Acid Wash) 1 ball
contrast B (03006 Canvas) 1 ball
contrast c (03044 Sweatshirt) 1 ball

VERSION III
contrast A (03402 Skinny Pink) 1 ball
contrast B (03006 Canvas) 1 ball
contrast c (03044 Sweatshirt) 1 ball
Note: 1 ball each of A, B, and C will make 12 Cup Cozies.


Set of four size 5 mm (U.S. 8) double-pointed knitting
needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stocking st.


INSTRUCTIONS
With A, cast on 36 sts. Divide sts evenly onto 3 needles. Join in
rnd, placing marker on first st.
1st rnd: *K2. P2. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K2. P2) ribbing for 2½" [6 cm].
With B, work 4 rnds in (K2. P1) ribbing.
With C, work 2 rnds in (K2. P1) ribbing.
Cast off in rib.

Approx 12 ins [30.5 cm] wide x 26 ins [66 cm] in diameter.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Colorama (100 g/3.5 oz; 47 m/52 yds) 05135 (Raging Sea) 2 balls
Size 12.75 mm (U.S. 17) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
8 sts and 10 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 23 sts.
Work in garter st (knit every row) until work from beg measures 26 ins [66 cm]. Cast off knitwise.
Sew cast on and cast off edges tog.

Cast off , working into every second space of yarn as shown for knitting.

These are slippers if you knit the straps or low ankle socks without the strap. This Bernat Yarn pattern is easy and would make great holiday gifts.

To fit adult’s shoe size 5/6 (7/8-9/10).
Finished foot length 9 (9½-10½) ins [23 (24-26.5) cm].

MATERIALS
Bernat® Sox (100 g / 3.5 oz)
1 ball of # 42117 (Wooded Denim)
Size 2.75 mm (U.S. 2) knitting
needles or size needed to

GAUGE: 32 sts and 40 rows =

Pink Comfort Pillow

MEASUREMENT
Approx 10¼ x 8 ins [26 x 20.5 cm]

MATERIALS
Bernat® Satin (120 g/4.2 oz; 230 m/251 yds)
Main Color (MC) (00423 Flamingo) 1 ball
Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) circular knitting needle 16 ins [40 cm] long or
size needed to obtain gauge. Stuffing.

GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.


INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, cast on 98 sts. Join in rnd, placing a marker on first st. Knit 1 rnd.
Place chart: 1st rnd: (Work 1st row of appropriate Chart) 7 times,
reading row from right to left.
2nd rnd: (Work 2nd row of appropriate Chart) 7 times, reading row from right to left.
Chart is now in position.
Cont until 24 rows of chart have been worked twice.
With MC, knit 1 rnd.
Cast off.

Finishing
Sew bottom opening closed. Stuff Pillow. Sew top opening closed.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 33 sts.
1st row: (RS). *K1. yo. K2tog. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows for pat until work from beg measures 29 ins
[73.5 cm], ending with a 1st row. Cast off knitwise (WS).
Try on Scarf and mark position for 2 buttons. Use openwork
sts of pat for buttonholes. Sew on buttons.

Striped Yoga Bag!

So sorry my fellow knitters and subscribers...had hand surgery this week...making it a little hard to knit, type and a few other things! The good news is, that I will be able to go back to yoga in a few weeks, so I thought I'd celabrate and knit up a cool yoga bag!


MEASUREMENTS
17 ins [43 cm] circumference x 24 ins [61 cm] long.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Handicrafter® Stripes (42.5 g / 1.5 oz): 4 balls of #21712 (Lime Stripes).
Size 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½) circular knitting needle 16 ins [40.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE: 13 sts and 16 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: For continuous stripes, join new ball at same point in color sequence where previous ball ended.

Cast on 30 sts.
Do not join.
1st row: (RS). Knit into front
and back of each st. 60 sts.
2nd row: Purl.
Join in rnd and knit in rnds for 25 ins [63.5 cm].
Next rnd: (Eyelet rnd). *K2. yfwd. K2tog. Rep from * to end of rnd. Knit 2 rnds. Cast off knitwise.

FINISHING
Weave yarn through cast on sts and draw up tightly. Fasten securely.
Drawstring: Cast on 100 sts. Cast off. Weave through eyelet rnd.
Strap: Cast on 5 sts. Knit for 32 ins [81.5 cm].
Cast off.
Sew ends of Strap to Bag.
