My Lace Stripe Shawl/Scarf Pattern

I designed this pattern to get the most out of this unique yarn, but it will adapt to other yarns...from cotton to bulky wool!

Size: Depends on yarn and needles you use.

Materials:
1 Skein Schaefer Yarns- Nancy 600 yards, color- Aung San Suu Kyi
1 pair needles US 10.5

Pattern:
Rows 1 and 2: Knit
Row 3: K1, *yo,sl1, k1, yo, psso the knit st and the following yo* repeat from *
Row 4: *P2, drop the yo of preceding row* repeat *, end p1.
Row 5: K2, *yo,sl1, k1, yo, psso the knit st and the following yo* repeat from * end k1.
Row 6: P3, drop the yo of preceding row* repeat from*.
Rows 7 and 8: Knit
Row 9: Knit
Row 10: Purl
Row 11: Knit
Row 12: Purl
Row 13: Knit
Row 14: Purl
Row 15: Knit
Row 16: Purl
Row 17: Knit
Row 18: Purl
Repeat pattern until desired length.

Cowl/Snood with Schaefer Yarn

A dual purpose cowl/snood, for winter in wool, and for spring in cotton or linen...just adjust the gauge.

MATERIALS
-Schaefer Yarn Nancy (95% merino wool/5% nylon, 8 oz [227 g] / 600 yds [548 m]) 1 skein
-US #10 (6mm) 36 or 40 inch circular needle, or size to obtain gauge Tapestry needle
-1 stitch marker

GAUGE
14 sts/21 rnds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch blocked
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
57 inches around, 14 inches wide

SNOOD
CO 200 sts, pm, join into round being careful not to twist sts.
Purl 1 rnd, knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd.
Knit 12 rnds.
Purl 12 rnds.
Rpt these 24 rnds twice more.
Knit 12 rnds.
Purl 1 rnd, knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd.
BO loosely. Weave in ends and block.
