Easy Breezy Vest

This one piece vest pattern from Berroco would be an excellent first "clothing" project for those that have just started knitting and want to venture out!

Fat Cable Scarf!

MATERIALS
• 860-173 Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Yarn: Dusty Green 8 Balls

• Knitting Needles Size 15 [10 mm] 

• Lion Brand Cable Needles (Set of 2)

• Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)


GAUGE:
10 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern st with 2 strands of yarn held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Next Row (RS):  Bind off 2(3-3-4-5-6) sts, k to first marker, sl center 40 ststo holder for front neck, join another hank of yarn and k to end.  Working both sides at once, bind off 2(3-3-4-5-6) sts at beg of the next 3 rows, then 1(2-4-5-5-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. 
AT THE SAME TIME,dec 1 st at each neck edge EVERY row 5 times.

FINISHINGSew shoulder seams.

Neckband:  With RS facing, using circular needle, beg at left shoulder seam, pick up and k8 sts along leftfront neck edge, k40 sts from front holder, pick up and k8 sts along right front neck edge, then k50 sts fromback holder - 106 sts.  Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. 
Work even in St st (k EVERY rnd) until bandmeasures 4". 
Bind off.  Fold band in half to WS and sew in place.

Armhole Band:

3-NEEDLE BIND-OFF:
[Seaming 2 pieces together as you bind off.] Place sts of pieces to be joined on separate needles (or each end of a circular needle), hold one behind the other with right sides facing each other, in left hand; with a third needle (the same size or 1 size larger than used for knitting the pieces), k2tog [1 from front needle, 1 from back needle – 1 st on right-hand needle], *k2tog [you now have 2 sts on right-hand needle], bind off 1 st in usual way; repeat from * to end. For decorative seam on right side, work with wrong sides facing.
