SIZE One size
MATERIALS
• 1 hank Filatura Di Crosa KISS
KISS 65% acrylic, 20% wool, 15% polyester (3.5oz/1OOg; 11yds/1Om) in color #15 coral reef
• One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles
KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

NOTES:
HOW TO WORK WITH KISS KISS
This is a ladder-type yarn with
decorative boucle pigtails strung along a ladder (or railroad track) of yarn, into which the pick-up east-on and knit stitches are worked.
You will work into every space between
rungs of the ladder (please note that
there may be 2 or 3 strands of yam [joining the side rails of the ladder] between the wider openings- the wider opening counts as the pick-up area).
To cast on, you will "thread" the tip of the needle into successive openings in the ladder, picking up your "east-on" stitches. SCARF
"Cast on" 3 stitches, as instructed above. Turn needle.
Row 1 * Place the tip of the right-hand needle into
the first east-on stitch and then pick up the next
space along ladder of the yarn by wrapping it around the needle as if to knit. Pull the new stitch through
the "east-on" stitch; repeat from * across row- 3
stitches. Turn needle.
Continue to repeat Row 1, until you are near the end of the hank of yarn.NOTE: The scarf will naturally form a spiral.
Bind off all stitches knitwise.

To add a ruffle, simply pick up BANDEL [with the tip of the needle inserted into a square eyelet] and knit it together with the main yarn. The pick-up should be made in each stitch in that row, inserting the needle into EVERY square eyelet on BANDEL (or as indicated in the pattern).

WORKING WITH OPERADARTE
OPERADARTE is a ribbon yarn with black (or white) mohair picot along one edge and square eyelets along the opposite edge. While it can be knitted alone, it is more frequently used as a carry-along yarn to create dramatic ruffles on a garment or accessories knit from a classic yarn.
To add a ruffle, simply pick up Operadarte [with tip of the needle inserted into a square eyelet] and knit it together with the main yarn. The pick-up should be made in each stitch in that
row, inserting the needle into EVERY OTHER square eyelet on the Operadarte (or as indicated in the pattern).
NOTE: Piece is knit on circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches.
