So Soft Cabled Scarf

With winter on the way, now is the time for knitting up a warm, cozy, cabled scarf. This pattern for Tahki Yarns will keep you snuggled up even in the coldest weather!

SIZE One Size

MATERIALS • 3 balls Tahki Yarns JUNO, 97% alpaca, 3% nylon (1.75oz/50g; 84yds/77m) in color #05 charcoal

• One pair size 11 (8mm) needles
OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

• Cable needle (cn)

• Yarn needle

7"/18cm

Scarf Length

62"/157.5cm

GAUGE
12 sts and 18 rows = 4"/10cm in Stockinette stitch

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS

1/1 LC
Slip 1 st to cn and hold in front, k1, then k1 from cn.
1/1 RC Slip 1 st to cn and hold in back, k1, then k1 from cn.
4/4 LC Slip 4 sts to cn and hold in front, k4, then k4 from cn.
4/4 RC Slip 4 sts to cn and hold in back, k4, then k4 from cn.

SCARF Cast on 28 sts.

Row 1 (WS) P3, [k2, p2] to last st, p1.
Rows 2 and 4 Slip 1, [k2, p2] to last 3 sts, k3. Row 3 Slip 1, [p2, k2] to last 3 sts, p3.
Rows 5, 9 and 13 Slip 1, p4, k1, p16, k1, p5.
Rows 6, 10 and 14 Slip 1, k4, p1, k16, p1, k5. Rows 7, 11 and 15 Slip 1, p1, k4, p16, k4, p2.
Row 8 Slip 1, 1/1 LC, k2, p1, 4/4 RC, 4/4 LC, p1, k2,
1/1 RC, k1.
Rows 12 and 16 Slip 1, 1/1 LC, k2, p1, k16, p1, k2,
1/1 RC, k1.
Rep Rows 5-16 until piece measures 61" from beg, end with WS row.
Rep Rows 2-3 twice.
Bind off in pattern.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
