Ready for Fall Ribbed Scarf

This scarf is just right for moving into chilly weather...thank Filatura Di Crosa for this easy pattern!


SIZE One size
MATERIALS
• 2 balls Filatura Di Crosa SUPERIOR
70% cashmere, 25% schappe
silk, 5% extrafine merino wool
(0.88oz/25g; 330yds/300m) in color
#27 steel grey (A)
• 2 balls Filatura Di Crosa NIRVANA
100% extrafine merino wool
(0.88oz/25g; 372yds/340m) in color
#12 dove grey (B)
• One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles
OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Crochet hook size G-7 (4.5mm), for
attaching Fringe
• Yarn needle
KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
5” x 70”/13cm x 178cm, excluding
fringe
GAUGE
36 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm in k3, p3 rib with 1
strand each A and B held together
TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
NOTE: SCARF is worked with 1 strand each of A
and B held together throughout pattern. We suggest
that you cut the Fringes before beginning to knit.

Fringe
You will need a total of 16 Fringes for the SCARF.
Cut a total of 96 strands 18” long each in A and B.

SCARF
Cast on 47 sts.
Row 1 (RS) Sl1, * k3, p3; rep from * to last 4 sts, k4.
Row 2 Sl1, * p3, k3; rep from * to last 4 sts, p4.
Rep Rows 1-2 until piece measures approx. 70” long
or either ball of yarn is about to run out. Bind off all
sts in rib.
FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements. Weave in ends.
Attaching Fringe
Using crochet hook and 6 strands each of A and B for
each Fringe, attach 8 Fringes at the cast-on and bind-
off ends of SCARF, with 1 placed at each corner and
6 evenly spaced between.
