Soft and Casual Wristlets

These wristlets are your perfect Saturday partner. Throw on some jeans and go do your errands!

Materials
1 skein in Iris of Swoon by Fiesta Yarns, 4oz/113g skeins, each approx 225yd/206m (merino wool/silk)
One set (5) size 8 (5mm) double-pointed needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Stitch markers
Stitch holder

THE MEASUREMENTS
Circumference 6 1⁄2"/16.5cm
Length 6 1⁄2"/16.5cm
THE GAUGE
19 sts and 23 rnds to 4"/10cm over St st using size 8 (5mm) needles.
BE SURE TO GET THE GAUGE.

MAKE TWO WRISTLETS
Cast on 32 sts. Distribute evenly on 4 dpns, join for knitting in the round,
taking care not to twist sts. Place marker for beg of rnd.

Rnds 1–12 *K2, p2; rep from * around.
Rnds 13 and 14 Knit.

Rnd 15 K3, pm, k2, pm, k to end of rnd.
Rnd 16 (inc) K3, sl m, M1, k to next marker, M1, sl m, k to end of rnd—34 sts.
Rnd 17 Knit around, slipping markers.
Rep last 2 rnds 5 times more—44 sts.
Next rnd (thumb opening) K3, remove marker, place next 14 sts on holder,
remove marker, cast on 2 sts, k to end—32 sts.
Work evenly in St st until piece measures 6"/15cm from beg.
Change to k2, p2 rib and work evenly for 1"/2.5cm.
Bind off loosely in rib.

Place 14 sts from holder on dpns to work in rnds and reattach yarn.
Rnd 1 Pick up and knit 4 sts along cast on edge, k14—18 sts.
Rnd 2 (dec) [K2tog] twice over the 4 cast-on sts, k14—16 sts.
Rnd 3 Knit.
Change to k2, p2 rib and work for 3 rnds. Bind off in rib.
