Something A Little Kicky!

Take all your yarn scraps and make lots of these to give those old boring sneakers some pizazz! Check out this pattern from Berroco, it's a real kick!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Approximately ½” across x 38” long

MATERIALS
1 Ball BERROCO SOX (100 grs), #1410 Lollipop
2 Double pointed knitting needles (dpn), size 5 (3.75 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
26 sts = 4”; 36 rows = 4” in St st

TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

NOTE
To determine the best length for your shoes, use the following chart:
Note: Ours were made extra long and double knotted.


For 2 pairs of eyelets – 18”
For 3 pairs of eyelets – 18/24”
For 4 pairs of eyelets – 24”
For 5 pairs of eyelets – 30”
For 6 pairs of eyelets – 35/43”
For 7 pairs of eyelets – 60”
For 8 pairs of eyelets – 71”

SHOELACES (Make 2)

With dpn’s, cast on 4 sts and work I-Cord as follows:
Row 1: * K4, do not turn work. Slide sts to beg of needle to work next row from RS. Rep from * until cord
measures 38” or desired length from beg. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
