Rice Stitch Wrap

A lightweight, yet warm when needed; interesting, yet easy wrap to knit up!

Materials:
Yarn: 1 hank of Cherry Tree Hill Baby Loop (965 yds./8 oz.)
Needles: 1 pair straight needles size 6 or size needed for correct tension & gauge
Finished Measurements: Approximately 20" by 74"

Gauge: 20 stitches per 4 inches in Rice Stitch pattern

Pattern Stitch (Rice Stitch)
Row 1: (right side) *k1, p1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2: (wrong side) Knit entire row.

Directions:
1. Cast on LOOSELY 100 stitches.
2. Work in Rice Stitch pattern (see above).
3. Work until almost all of the hank is used up.
4. Bind off loosely.

Blocking & Care Instructions:
1. Wash in warm water using baby shampoo.
2. Rinse well and squeeze out excess moisture by wrapping in towels.
Caution:Do not put through spin cycle of washer.
3. Block tautly to finished dimensions with evenly spaced T-pins to give scalloped edge.
4. Allow to dry and unpin.
