A Cowl Wrap Fit for Every Romantic!

This Tahki Stacy Charles Yarn pattern is so romantic, it will bring out the femme fatale in any woman!

MATERIALS
• 2 balls S. Charles Collezione DIAMANTE 63% wool, 32% nylon, 5% polyester (1.75oz/50g; 104yds/95m) in color #03 pewter (A)
• 2 balls S. Charles Collezione DIVA 50% acrylic, 20% wool, 20% nylon, 10% silk (1.75oz/50g; 23yds/21.5m) in color #02 pewter (B)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One pair size 17 (12.75mm) needles
• Cable needle (cn)
• Yarn needle
• One ¾”/19mm button

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

Height 9½”/24cm
Neck Circumference (buttoned) 19”/48.5cm

GAUGES
24 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm in Cable Pattern, using A and smaller needles 7 sts and 8 rows = 4”/10cm in Rev St st, using B and larger needles

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS

4-st LC: Slip 2 sts to cn and hold in front, k2, k2 from cn.
4-st RC: Slip 2 sts to cn and hold in back, k2, k2 rom cn.
K1-f/b: Knit 1 front and back (inc) - Knit next st, then knit in back loop of same stitch.
K1-f/b/f: Knit the next st, knit in the back of the same st, then knit into the front again.K2tog: Knit 2 together (dec) – Knit 2 sts tog through the front loops.
K3tog: Knit 3 together (dec) – Knit 3 sts tog through the front loops.

COWL
With A and smaller needles, cast on 111 sts.
(WS) Knit 1 row.
(RS) Begin Cable Pattern; work 8 rows.
Dec Row (RS) Change to B and larger needles, k1, *k2tog, k3tog; rep from * across – 45 sts rem.
(WS) Change to Rev St st; work 14 rows.
Inc Row (WS) Change to A and smaller needles, k1, *
k1-f/b, k1-f/b/f; rep from * across – 111 sts.
(RS) Change to Cable Pattern; work 8 rows.
(RS) Purl 1 row.
(WS) Bind off all sts purlwise.

Left Side Cables
With RS facing, using A and smaller needles, pick up and knit 55 sts along left short edge of Cowl.
(WS) Knit 1 row.
Row 1 (RS) Knit.
Row 2 K2, * k1, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 3 K2, * k1, 4-st RC, k1, 4-st LC; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 4 Rep Row 2.
Continuing in Cable Pattern as set, bind off 5 sts at beg of next RS row – 50 sts rem.
* Bind off 2 sts at beg of next RS row, then 3 sts at beg of next RS row; rep from * 8 more times – 5 sts
rem. Bind off rem 5 sts.

Right Side Cables
With RS facing, using A and smaller needles, pick up and knit 55 sts along right short edge of Cowl.
(WS) Knit 1 row.
Row 1 (RS) Knit.
Row 2 K2, * k1, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 3 K2, * k1, 4-st RC, k1, 4-st LC; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 4 K3, yo, k2tog, p2, * k1, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Continuing in Cable Pattern as set, bind off 5 sts at beg of next WS row – 50 sts rem.
* Bind off 2 sts at beg of next WS row, then 3 sts at beg of next WS row; rep from * 8 more times – 5 sts
rem. Bind off rem 5 sts.
 
FINISHING

Weave in ends. Block Cowl.
